State of Michigans empty gesture to small business owners?
The state of Michigan just received millions of dollars in federal aid to help small business in Michigan. What it about? The aid is for small business loans. What is the scam? In order to qualify for this "small business loan" you have to be able to have capital in the amount of 10x the amount of the loan requested. So if I wanted a small business loan funded by the govt. for 10,000 I would have to have 100,000 to back it up. Why would I be trying to get a loan if I had an extra 100,000 laying around. Its just one more tactic of manipulation. All a voter will see is the headline of "michigan funds new small business loans to stimulate the economy" and will feel all warm inside that our state is back on the right track. But will never read the fine print and understand that small business owners will never get this money because large corporations are the only ones to have the capital to get these loans. So in short business as usual. Destroy the middle class.

100 thousand to back it up, jesussss
ReplyDeletemakes you wonder how bright the government really is
ReplyDeletebut then again if i had 1000-10000 to start a business just saying it would still be pretty nice to have 100-1000 bucks to go towards it
every little bit helps i guess
This makes me hate Michigan just a little bit more.
ReplyDeleteI need money
ReplyDeleteYou got any money?
No
Well you can't have any then.
could you image if restaurants worked on the same principal?
ReplyDeleteCan I have some food?
you got any food?
No
Well you can't have any then.
this sounds more retarded than Australian social welfare.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's just evil. Smart, yes, but still evil.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's kinda crazy!
ReplyDeletewell, speaking in smaller terms, as a startup business, your capital would be low, if you had 5000 youd get a cool 500
ReplyDeleteJust think that the people who came up with that idea were all voted into that position by the public.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Michigan! What a great state we live in, eh?
ReplyDelete@dk unfortunately 500 dosnt even cover 1/3 the cost of a yellow page add. All 500 will get you is enough to cover 1 employees pay for a week or a 4 week add in a small local paper. The point of a small business loan is to put your already running business on the next level. Maybe buy more equipment, trucks advertise that way I can maybe hire 5-10 more guys at at least 500 wk pay. Not necessary to have more money for me but to put myself on a more steady ground and help some people out with jobs that they know they will be able to keep. You know help the economy. The opposite of big business more money for limited few less jobs.
ReplyDeletethese are not "new" business start up loans. These are small business loans for already established businesses.
ReplyDeleteThis is really funny. I wish I believed that this was just a headline grabbing, but did you know that Macdonalds got $203million in bailout money? You gotta love that kind of logic.
